Southern California engagement photos filled with all of Alex and Gabby’s favorite things.

I was honored to travel back to my hometown to capture Alex and Gabby’s engagement photos! Their session is the perfect example of how to incorporate special touches. They included all of their favorite (and coincidentally, my favorite) things-their pups, coffee, and several locations in Orange County, California. All the elements they incorporated made the experience so unique and special to them. Your engagement photos capture such a special time and you want to make sure they reflect your love as a couple!

I’ve known Alex for almost 10 years and when he met Gabby, we all knew she was the one. They complement each other well and have a great sense of humor-we laughed the whole time! First, Alex and Gabby wanted to make sure their two favorite family members were in a few of their engagement photos-their pups, Odin and Laney! We went to a park near their house and snapped some pictures of their furkids. Anytime someone asks if they can incorporate their dogs in their photos, it’s a resounding “yes”. After all, they are family members too! Then, we went to the Orange Circle for some photos by the iconic fountain and a local coffee shop. We wandered the streets together and talked about their wedding planning progress. Gabby is such a relaxed bride!

A variety of locations made for unique photos

Finally, we raced the sun to catch the last bit of daylight at a local park. The best time of the day for engagement photos is what’s knowns as the “golden hour”. On this day, the afternoon was cloudy but just enough light peeked out behind the hills. This time, Gabby changed into a beautiful floral dress with a pastel pink and purple color palette that looked just beautiful against the California landscape. These two sweethearts will be having their wedding in January and I can’t wait to celebrate them!
