Macon, Ga Wedding Venues

Macon Ga Wedding venues

Newly engaged and looking at Macon, Ga wedding venues? Look no further! I know how overwhelming it can be to begin the wedding process. Your wedding venue is probably the most important aspect to pick out (besides your future spouse!) and it sets the tone for your whole event. If barns aren’t the aesthetic you’re dreaming of, I’ve compiled a list of my top 8 favorite wedding venues in Macon, Ga.

  1. Terminal Station- located at the end of Cherry St. in Downtown Macon, this elegant former railroad station is a stunning venue. Designed by the same architect as Grand Central Station in New York, the historic building is a beautiful non traditional venue.
  2. Emerson at Plum-another wedding venue in Downtown Macon off Plum Street, this venue offers an indoor ballroom as well as a charming outdoor courtyard.
  3. Hotel Forty Five-Macon’s newest boutique hotel, their modern interior is best suited for small, intimate weddings and elopements. Bonus: their rooftop bar makes for a beautiful photo location!
  4. The Blacksmith Shop-off Poplar St., another Macon, Ga wedding venue that is located downtown. Self described as “industrial chic”, their brick interior and darling courtyard makes you forget you are downtown.
  5. Wesleyan College-a historic college (and one of my favorite Macon, Ga locations for photos!), they have both indoor and outdoor locations for wedding receptions. A historic ballroom, a chapel overlooking their lake (it’s just beautiful at sunset and shaped like a heart!), and stunning grounds, there are many different options for your reception.
  6. The Hay House-a beautifully preserved historic property from 1855, this venue is the perfect classic mansion. It’s worth noting that they don’t provide AC in the summer (but you can rent through their vendors)!
  7. Idle Hour Country Club-a country club with a renovated patio (and a perfect staircase for photos!), this Macon, Ga wedding venue has sweeping views of the golf course. There’s also a spacious indoor ballroom.
  8. The Library Ballroom-off Mulberry St., this historic ballroom from 1889 is actually in the building that was Macon’s first public library. With lofty ceilings, this Macon, Ga wedding venue is suitable for both large and intimate weddings
