Selecting outfits is one of the most important aspects of beautiful photos. It’s important to find something that photographs well AND makes you feel beautiful, especially during pregnancy! These recommendations will make deciding what to wear for your Little Rock maternity photos easier!
- Consider the time of year. Lighter fabrics like linen in the summer and sleeves in the winter will make you feel comfortable, no matter the temperature.
- Dresses that are midi/maxi length and have extra fabric create beautiful movement and lines.
- Select a dress that is meant to flatter and honor your changing body. Dresses from Nothing Fits But (Hannah is wearing the Kiko dress above in cream), Worth Collective, and Doen are specifically made to fit women through all stages of life.
- Don’t be afraid to do something different. If your ideal dress is a tulle gown to highlight your femininity and growing curves-wear that! If your idea dress is a more trendy satin slip dress, wear that. It’s important to feel comfortable in your clothing so that your beauty and confidence radiates through.
- Soft colors-no this doesn’t just mean cream/white! Wearing soft colors allows the light to reflect off you, giving your photos beautiful skin tones. I encourage pastel, neutral, and muted colors and recommend avoiding bold, bright colors and patterns.
- If you are doing photos with your husband or family, pick the outfit for you first. Everyone else’s outfits can be built around yours.
